Each coin is struck by the NZ Mint from .25 OZ of .9999 gold and issued as legal tender of the Sovereign government of Niue ($50 XCD).
The coin’s reverse includes an Elk, the inscription ‘Rocky Mountain Elk Fine Gold .9999 .25oz.’ The Obverse center inset features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wearing the “Girls of Great Britain and Ireland” diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary.
